Sweets By Keet
The Ask: Sweets by Keet is a local Mom and Pop bakery that opened in the midst of the pandemic. It is located right outside the heart of Richmond (Innsbrook, VA). My team and I were asked to increase awareness of Sweets by Keet in the Richmond area by integrating the shop into the city’s culture.
How we got there: Sweets by Keet’s lack of exposure to the necessary audience creates room for improvements in terms of foot traffic and the number of loyal customers. During research we found that Richmonders are a different breed of of foodies who love local businesses far and wide for “the good stuff.” RVA stickers travel from Shockoe Bottom to Short Pump to do their part in buying local. In conclusion, we found that growing Sweets by Keet’s roots in the Richmond community through numerous farmers markets will lead to major growth and develop local customers in the long run based high quality food, service, and Keet’s winning personality. Richmond is know for their farmer’s markets and they create an environment for local businesses to thrive and expand their reach.
